it's a nice idea, and worth a try, but when I had some perfect condition, very lightly used newborn baby clothes to give away, the HV wouldn't take them off me- she thought people would feel patronised by being given cast-offs!

Yurtgirl. Thats awful, you have to have a car seat to leave hospital, When DD was born I borrowed one from the hospital, and when DS left hosiptal, it was in a baby sling and we walked home. Only a ten minute walk though
