what made you decide a name for your pet?

i was thinking about this out of curiosity. are human names for pets becoming more popular? over 30 years ago when i was just a toddler the first dog i ever knew was called zoe. i don't think we have ever had traditional cat or doggie names for our pets. so tell me yours?

I've chosen a name that I like and there is nothing interesting, haha.
