"Dear All,

Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it has been confirmed by Royal Mail .

The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize."

thought I'd forward it to you lot.

Thanks, that's a good tip Squonk. I'll bump it for you.

There is a spoof email from ebay doing the rounds too, about taking part in a survey.

SoupDragon · 01/11/2007 16:00

This is not true.

Or rather I think it was but a few years ago. The number is no longer connected. Have alook on Snopes.com

Good tip - thanks

SoupDragon · 01/11/2007 16:05

IT'S NO LONGER TRUE

ICSTIS (or PayPhonePlus as they are now called) are asking that people do not forward this email anymore.

Snopes could do with updating that page as some people just open the page, see the word 'true' at the top and don't read any further to see that it is out of date.
