Hi All,
First post as a newbie so please be gentle!
I have a 17m old who still has two bottles a day, one when he wakes up and one before bed. I currently give him the bottle whilst he sits/cuddles on me... how do I start encouraging him to have it himself? Ie give it him in his cot to drink as he wants?
Please no judgement, I'm a first time mum with no family/friends nearby for support so I'm just learning everyday :-)

At that age, a bottle with handles.

I think nuby do them. I used to buy boots own brand ones, they were dirt cheap!

Yes I will try this thanks, he does have one for this water, so no reason I can't put milk in there!

We moved to a little straw cup that's just for milk so my DD knows the difference and she'll point to which cup she wants if she wants milk or water. That helped us, we also changed routine slightly and had milk downstairs before bath, then bath, teeth and bed. I miss those sleepy milk cuddles!
