Can anyone suggest a name for a girl along the lines of 'Amelia'???

I love this name and have had it as my 'girls' name for years but its getting a bit more popular and although I do still love it loads I don't think I can have it.

So anything similar? Middle name is to ke Kitty

If you like Amelia and it's been your "girls" name for years, have it.

Don't let everyone else having it stop you - you know that you didn't just jump on the bandwagon (sorry to anyone who did )

Seriously, if you want it, it doesn't matter how popular or unpopular the name is, it's you that's got to call your daughter by that name every day - several times a day in fact - so you stick to your guns and have what you want.

Or go for Amelie, that's nice too

My mate says it Ow-re-lia, but as I say she is Spanish, so that is how it is said in Spain

I think Ameila is very pretty - and Amelie, which seems to be be quite popluar at the moment. Go for whatever you want. All the Amelias I know are a bit older - 8+ so maybe your DD could start a new trend!
