Have lived in Denmark and they do come across as rude. I think this is because they don’t have a word for please, but a million ways to say thank you. Or should i say mange tak, Tusand tak... The ones I worked with didn’t much like immigrants and blamed them for everything and being welfare scum, usually the Turkish immigrants. As a Brit I got reminded that Nelson burnt down Copenhagen during the Napoleonic War quite a bit, so I don’t think Danes likes us too much. I used to counter it was revenge for the Viking invasions. I was there when the cartoons of Mohammed were published and they thought they were hilarious.
Norwegians IMO are closest to British in their humour and love of drinking. Swedes definitely more chilled. Finns are a great laugh but seem to live under constant anxiety of being so close to Russia.
If I could live anywhere I’d pick Norway and and settle in Bergen, although it rains an awful lot but for some reason I’ve always loved it there (maybe not the prices).
