Hello i am looking to relocate to leicestershire, i was looking at lutterworth or sapcote but does anyone have any advice or suggestions on towns with a few amenities and places to walk a dog as we are a young family so good schools are important too. Thank you!

A close friend may have to hire a private detective but doesn’t know where to start. She thinks her ex is working, but under a different name. For tax reasons/benefits. Who knows... She needs to find out what’s going on as it will affect her divorce settlement with him. He gives her a little cash here and there for kids but won’t set up a direct debit. All v suspect and she just wants to find out the truth, so that she can be one step in front of him for once...
anyone been in a similar situation? Just want to help her x

I don't know Lutterworth at all. Sapcote is nice enough but boring, there's not much there

I'd avoid Coalville and Hinckley too tbh

Market Harborough is nice (but expensive). Loughborough isn't bad and there's some nice villages around it

Hello thank you for your reply do you know any nice villages nearer to whetstone as that's where my mum is living? Market harborough is a bit far as my husband needs to travel to the city centre for work thank you :)

@Bramley1993 Whetstone isn't an area I know well to be honest. Other villages near there are Enderby, Countesthorpe, Blaby & Narborough. They're all quite nice in different ways and I'd live in any of them really

Burbage is lovely and excellent schools

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 27/01/2021 15:02

Countesthorpe and Blaby are in walking distance of Blaby town which has a nice little collection of shops, cafes, pubs and such as well as several decent schools. Only issue would be that the routes into the city from that side of town are (in non Covid times) very congested so can be a long drive for a relatively short distance. Easy access to Narborough or South Wigston train stations though and lots of bus routes including a park and ride at Enderby.

Hello I have heard burbage is nice! Some people say to avoid certain areas nearer Hinckley is that true? Any particular areas streets to avoid that you know of? X

Hello thank you! The only problem with those villages is the countesthorpe school catchment area but narborough looks lovely! Thank you

Hi, did you decide which area to go with? We are in a similar position with a young family looking at Lutterworth but can’t figure out if it’s worth it as local catchment school is John Wycliffe

Hey my mums decided to move to Lutterworth, she loves it there, we decided it’s too far away from my partners family so are hopefully moving to burbage :)

So after all that we have decided to move to Wolvey Heath in Hinckley. We love the house and although we aren’t sure about schools yet I think we are going to see what happens!
