sobernow - yes, well done! The only question from my list that I knew outright was the Michael Henchard one as did the book at school and I like Thomas Hardy.

The lyric is S Club 7... All together now..
Reach for the stars! Climb every mountain higher
Reach for the stars! Follow your heart's desire...

I'm so embarrassed I'll have to sneak off and hide in a corner. I knew the beer and flower ones too, honest.

Fionn · 26/09/2002 21:54

Soupdragon - how did you know that?! Are you a teenager or the mother of one?! I know I stopped watching TOTP even before having children so I'm amazed that anyone over 18 knows about pop!

How do you know I'm over 18? I may have had my 2 children very young indeed and grown to love the Clangers on video* lol

We've got to all stick together, good friends, there for each other
Never ever forget that I've got you and you've got me, so

Reach for the stars! Climb every mountain higher
Reach for the stars! Follow your heart's desire
Reach for the stars! And when that rainbow's shining over you
That's when your dreams will all come true

I've not stopped singing that damn song yet and it's getting a bit much after nearly an hour... I have to admit to quite liking the song actually although not so much that I have the album. the Limewire network and mpp3 files are a wonderful invention.

What I want to know is why I know the words to an S Club 7 song, "Freedom" by Wham! and not where I put my mobile phone 2 weeks ago.

*OK, so I remember the Clangers from 1st time round.

Still singing...

Marina · 27/09/2002 12:29

I have this funny feeling that Winston Churchill was the first British Nobel literature laureate - something to do with his war histories? Probably wrong and much prefer William Golding.
Nicole Kidman will be perfect in Bewitched - I am very glad my hunch that it was I Love Lucy has got to be wrong.

bossykate · 27/09/2002 12:51

marina, i am guessing!
