We currently have a vauxhall zafira but the middle seat belt is only a lap belt.

We have 2 children and a baby due in March, and I want to get a car where they can all sit in the back together, with 2 more seats in the very back for guests.

In an ideal world, I would love a car where the middle row of seats can be turned round to face rearward.

Obviously I know that different aged modals will have different features - we want a car first registered around 2001.

The only other thing is that I am only 5' so don't want a 7-seater that is ridiculously huge!

What have you got, and what features does it have that you love or can live without?

Our 2006 zafira had (I say had since dh wrote it off recently ) three proper seat belts in the middle row and we could get all three car seats in (rock a tot, high back booster and regular booster). Worth another look for the current model?

I wonder what year they started putting proper belts in the middle then? We can't afford to go for one as new as 2006, but I'll have a look when they changed.....

Polly, I like voyagers and was wonering if the seats turn around. The problem is, I've no idea what turn aroundable seats are called so I don't know what to search for!!

We had a galaxy and the seats would turn around. Quite a big car though but you get used to it and it had a parking sensor. We had loads of problems with ours but I think we were just unlucky - lovely car though but the seats where a real B&&&&r to get in and out as they are really big and heavy. We have just swapped for a 3yr old grand scenic. Only got it yesterday but the seats fold down in the back rather than needing lifting out and storing which should make life a lot easier. Quite a bit smaller than the galaxy too. Looks fab so far (she says even though she's not actually driven the thing yet )

Peugeot 307 SW?
The middle seats don't swivel round but the middle belt is a shoulder belt.
We've got 6 seats in ours but you can put in 7.

we've got a 2005 fiat ulysee similiar to the peugeot 807 but ours has 8 seats and is smaler than the 4 x 4's. i have 3 dc and 1 on the way and i know there is still lots of room for them all and a double pushchair plus shopping.

we have the same prob but i think that the graco autobase can be fitted by just a lap belt (if that is what is counted as a 2 point belt)

our problem is that our middle saet (Daewoo tacuma) is only a half seat!
