Any mortgage advisors help out with a question?

We want to move house (we have a mortgage already with out current house) but want to relocate and so we will be buying a house in an entirely different location to where we currently live and both work. The plan is I want to give up work once we move but need to be employed whilst we get a mortgage. My husband can work from several locations so not an issue he will remain employed by the same company.

Will a mortgage company let us buy a house in a different area to where we work and live, without asking questions?

It’s from north to south so not a commutable distance and also I plan to give up work but find something once we are settled in the new area

Yes, this will raise questions, both because of the distance from your employer, and because you'll be asked if you're aware of a change in circumstances in the near future. You'll have to declare that you will not be working for your existing employer once you move. You're even asked if you stay with the same provider.

Ooer I stupidly hadn't considered this.

Ah ok so I assume if I’m honest and say I will leave my employment once we move they won’t agree to our mortgage?

They will be fine with you leaving work if your husband can pass the affordability on just his income to cover all outgoings.
