My friend's neighbour was murdered last night - he woke to hear screams, and then when the police came discovered his female neighbour had been murdered by her partner. Feels really close to home!

How is your friend? - obviously very shaken, but does he feel any guilt along the lines of 'I wish I had done more' etc?

he is ok - very shaken, but I think there really wasn't anything he could have done, and he knows that. Terrible experience for him - I would be haunted by hearing something like that.
