My DC have asked for a sweet hunt like we do at easter. I have made lots of clues to hide around the house so each clue leads to another and so on until the reach the end. I've got them a little Halloween bag with sweets, glow sticks etc in for the prize.

You could do apple bobbing or make your own toffee apples.

One year I made hot dogs, made them look like fingers with some ketchup for blood, they LOVED that lol.

I've also got latex gloves before and filled with sweets (in wrappers) and then drawn fingernails on to make it look like a hand

Pinterest have some good ideas

I'm planning on putting the camping gazebo up outside and hanging lots of lights and a pinata up. Getting the kids to make the pinata this week. I've also seen suggestions to do a Halloween hunt in the dark with torches, either in or outside the house. Apple bobbing, dounuts on strings, sparklers, a barbecue to make hot dogs and jacket potatoes and for toasting marshmallows. I've bought Halloween tattoo stickers for in the pinata. I might do a glow stick bath with candles before a Halloween movie? Following for other ideas.

I think we will save pumpkin carving for Halloween day too.

Get a clean rubber glove....fill with blackcurrant squash....freeze and use it as a giant ice cube in a big bowl of fruit punch

Not really a game but you can use a Halloween slideshow creator (something like smartshow 3d or something from this list) and make a spooky slideshow. Pick some spooky pictures or stills from your kids' favorite horror movies that are fun (Goosebumps or something like that) and add some chilling music, etc. I did it last year, the kids loved it. We also did handmade bats, there are tutorials about that, too-

I am going to make a skeleton- lots of printable templates- and let child paint bones with uv paint, then hide bones around house and hunt for them with uv torch in the dark- paint and torch are couple of quid on eBay.
Use part of pack of gelli-baff to make a cauldron (storage box) of slime. Will have some stuff to hide in it or add to it- plastic animals/ insects, ping pong ball eye balls, etc.
