...

now I never thought I'd be annoyed at the glorious BR but here I am

I did an online order .. it didn't confirm

a few days later I tried to order again, ordering slightly different stuff and it did confirm

I recieved the first (non-confirmed) order on 11 September .. have sent them 3 emails and tried to call (but their phones are always busy) to work it out .. I don't want this order

I received the right one yesterday

Am I within my rights to send it back to them .. get them to refund my card and both lots of postage (for sending it to me and me sending it back?)

after all the website didn't confirm nor did it send me a confirmation email

grrr

this is the one disadvantage to ordering on line! but I'd have thought you'd be entitled to a refund in any event - don't know about the refund of postage - worth a try tho' cos really its their fault!

(have to say ordering on line is a boon at Xmas!)

SoupDragon · 20/10/2004 09:53

Were you actually charged for the first order?

Twiglett · 20/10/2004 09:59

yep .. charged for both orders

phone is currently on hands free .. at least they have a nice concerto on their hold button and not lift music

scary thing is because the first order didn't confirm I kept clicking and using the back button on the browser .. what do you reckon I'm going to get 7 more deliveries

twig, i inadvertently clicked twice on some trousers in the boden sale last week and phoned them straight away - they said oh it won't have come through yet when i rang them, but then it did..so they just deleted one. it is possible...

tamum · 20/10/2004 10:55

They should definitely pay your costs for postage both ways, IMO. I hate it when stuff like this happens.

Twiglett - I know this is a really busy time of year for them - hence the jammed phone lines, but I'm sure you'll get satisfaction from them once you get through. I've found their customer services to be excellent whenever I've had a query or (once) a complaint.

Anyway - are you enjoying your stuff and feeling really creative and Christmassy? Ds2 is off school sick, but has stirred himself off the sofa to make a "Christmas box"
