Gift idea for 17 year olds

My friends daughter is going to be 17 next week thinking of getting her some pyjamas, what other cheap things could I get her to stick in a gift bag to make it nice? Was thinking of giving her money but I feel a present is nicer. Thank you

When each of mine turned 17, the one thing they really wanted was money - all wanted driving lessons, so a fiver or tenner from different people could add up to another lesson.
If you are giving her something nice to unwrap - the PJs - I don't think adding cash is a bad call.
