Why not just Darwin? It's short, catchy, personal and memorable.

The problem with very long names is in the shortening. I like it when people call me desi, for instance.

And if you were Dogbot (to cite your example), I would want to call you 'Dog' or worse, 'Botty' (providing you said something fetching), and frankly I would rather do neither of those things. .

When a thread comes along entitled 'AIBU to hate dogs .....' you're going to feel shit all day!!
