Afternoon. No frost here, but it is cold and has been raining most of the day.

I've done sod all of any use today. We've been watching some programmes about the Tower of London which we recorded recently. Very interesting.

Hope everyone has had a good day. Wine

Oh, good luck to FancyDD with her exams.

Evening wenches.

He was Helen Smile. He says he’s had a good day.

Good luck to FancyDD, hope they went well. Enjoy Lucifer and pink fizz!

Had a lot of rain here today too. That programme does sound interesting Apricot. I’ll see if it’s still available.

Today was bonkers busy and the usual suspect was as fucking useless and annoying as ever. I don’t know when I’m still surprised.

There’d better be some vodka in the cupboard here.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 20/11/2020 18:57

Love the Towern, I went there about 10 years ago, would love to go again, so interesting.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/11/2020 19:37

Apricot - things to use up your knitting wool?www.thebigknit.co.uk/about

Lucifer and Wine are on route to Chateau Fancy...

I have been Worky McWorkface today. We are watching Donnie Darko tonight, which I haven't seen for ages, and hope that my brain can keep up with.. and that it doesn't have a running "I don't understand?!" commentary from the manshapes. Confused

I also write this a while ago, but I can't be bothered with refreshing and then reattaching the decorations.

Found the Tower of London programme. There’s a few series so I’m looking forward to those.

Have had a bath and listened to most of Sue Perkins’ Desert Island Discs. Afterwards, because I had time, I thought I’d get some body lotion on. Is there a particular law that says body lotion must be at sub zero temperatures?

Hope Donnie Darko’s going well.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/11/2020 22:50

Donnie Darko was less confusing than the first time I saw it, because it was the directors cut, and explained things a bit more Grin There were still frequent pauses for debate and explanation though. DS is a bit mind blown and DH.

I'm a bit tired now though.

LetUsPrey · 21/11/2020 08:54

Morning wenches.

Hurrah for film not being as confusing!

It appears to be sunny here. Have the usual weekend excitement planned - washing, ironing, reading, watching tv. Perhaps I need to dial it back a bit Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/11/2020 12:26

Afternoon all. I was up this morning - just, and since then I have been mooching online. I have a cricked neck, and DH has a bad back, so today we are mostly the House of Cripples. DS is fine though.

We have no plans at all, fortunately. I'm watching my laptop France vs England on BBC2.

The phone rang earlier Shock [excitement] Then cut out and went back to 'lie cord error'. Le sigh....

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 21/11/2020 15:04

Afternoon.

Bought a Christmas gift to my mom this morning, there is a sale on and she wanted this thing so I said I'd buy it for her as a Christmas gift.

Looking online, think I might treat myself to order some overpriced snacks, chocolates etc online from UK, as a Christmas gift to myself. Sadly they don't seem to have the M&S Prosecco chocolate I love, but life is unfair sometimes.

Hope all wenches are well!

Had a late start today, slept in after Lucifer & pink last night.

DD seems happy enough with the exams so far - more next week so hope they are also ok.

Am off to Fancyman's later but am feeling very lethargic, so not sure whether I'm going to be great company!

LetUsPrey · 21/11/2020 16:38

The sun lasted about 30 seconds after I hit post this morning and since then it’s been raining.

How’s the neck Helen?

I really need to get cracking with Christmas planning but I cba. Getting yourself treats like that is an excellent idea Wicked. It’s self-care . It’s practically medicinal.

Perhaps I can help lift the lethargy Fancy? Does this help?

I’ve been packing away Lego. DH made me. It’s like the end of an era Sad. There’s six boxes going up in the loft. There’s still some out of sight in an ottoman and in DS1’s wardrobe but DH doesn’t realise so sshhhh Grin

In between being an organised person, I’ve been having a one woman party in the kitchen with lots of disco music. Shimmying so much before I could have had someone’s eye out.

Afternoon.

We've been to the Tower too. I love places like that, you can feel the history there. We're watching the most recent series, but I'll look for the others.

That's a pretty pouffe WW. We've got one similar but without the legs.

I'll have a look at that knitting site Helen. Hope you and DH are recovering from your neck and back problems.

Have a good evening all.

Evening. My neck's still a bit sore, but loosened off. DH's back is still sore Sad (we have not been shimmying here).

Hope that Fancy has been energised - one way or another Grin

Oh LetUs - the lego! Confused Sad We've got so much here, some of it could definitely be packed away - I don't remember the last time he played with the Ninjago sets. Very end of era, Though hurrah for more space? I've very impressed with your productivity today - and shimmying Grin

Buying treats sound like fun *Wicked" Grin

I think I've seen The Tower advertised, but not got round to watching it at all. Certainly not in a positio to download anything just now.

Goingto watch Mock the Week now Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/11/2020 08:05

Morning all. It's bright and sunny so far but lots of cloud about so I've not idea how long that will last.

LetUsPrey · 22/11/2020 08:59

Morning wenches.

Cloudy but at least it’s not raining.

How are the neck and back ChezHelen? Has your neck improved any further?

It was always DS1 who was very much into Lego, more than DS2 so most of the sets were bought for him. DS2 needed more help with them, which of course I was very willing to help with Grin I plan to fill the space with my jigsaws. Might have to get more!

Nothing much planned today.

FancyFancy · 22/11/2020 12:56

Afternoon
I didn't really perk up yesterday evening. Probably because I'm having to spend the day working today and the next few weeks look to be hectic with too many jobs on the go so I'll be pulled in different directions. I'd been hoping that December would be calmer but I've been booked on another job then
And somehow Christmas needs to be planned, which feels like it needs extra effort this year as visiting family doesn't look to be wise - whatever the current level of restrictions are then. And who has to do all the planning? Moany moany moan

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/11/2020 16:57

Evening. We have been for a nice walk on the beach, which means the washing didn't get dry on the line, but whatever - the beach was nice (and there were donuts) Grin

Have also done productive things like helped FriendWithHorses, and dug up the last of the potatoes and re-potted a plant. So hurrah for that. (It also means that when I pulled grubby clothes out of the washing basket to wear this morning, because horses, I have ended up wearing them all day Hmm Oh well...

And yes Fancy - I know what you mean about Christmas and who has to do the planning...

Also, things are still stiff chez SisterHelen but less painful, so improving gradually. (We have the world's biggest stash of jigsaws in the loft at my parents' house - we need to sort out a wench jigsaw sharing service.)

Need to go and help with tea now. I think I need to sort out the spuds that I dug up this afternoon...

LetUsPrey · 22/11/2020 17:14

Oh Fancy c’mere And yes, re the Christmas organising.

Walk on the beach, helping horse friend, potatoes, gardening - that’s a productive day and a half Helen! We used to have jigsaws still at my parents’ house, but dad decided that we needed to take our own stuff out of their loft. Unfair or what? Grin

We weren’t supposed to have rain today so we have of course had a lot of rain.

I’ve done more tidying/hiding stuff.

Loving the Tower of London programme so thank you to Apricot for that one! Also it seems to have caught DS2’s interest which is good. Surprising because there’s no sign of a football in it.

ApricotCrush · 22/11/2020 17:41

Afternoon. Nice day here, but we've done nothing outside. Watched a bit more of The Tower.

Christmas, yes. DD has invited us for Christmas Day, so with her MIL that'll be six of us, so if the rules permit that should be alright, although I'm still nervous what with DGS being in school, and their jobs. We'll just have to see what the situation is at the time.

You have been industrious Helen. Star

Wine (pink) and [Lucifer] for Fancy.

What happened to the weekend? Confused

LetUsPrey · 22/11/2020 19:29

It was the whooshing noise you heard Wicked as it whizzed by your ear Sad

🤞🏻For your Christmas Apricot

I’m watching Strictly results. The skirts on the pro dresses are dreamy and I want.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/11/2020 07:38

Morning all. Clear and sunny and cold. Wildlife report - a One Duck Quacking (Bude Folk Festival, 1976).

I spent most of yesterday muttering darkly about bloody thistles, having spiked myself on one yesterday. This morning I actually bothered looking at my thumb under a magnifying glass and realised that the reason it still hurt was because there was actually a splinter thistle in there still. Sometimes I'm a muppet.
