UGG Slippers... are they worth the hype?

So from what I have heard, UGG Slippers are the holy grail of all Slippers! I have wanted a pair for a long time and with moving into our first home together, I have a Slipper sized hole in my life!

I was just wondering what your thoughts are on whether they are really worth the hype?

Also, if you feel they are the best thing since sliced bread, what colour you suggest me getting? I have heard they can get dirty fairly quickly with regular wearing.

Thank you! Smile

I don’t have the slippers but use the mini boot as slippers as we live in a very drafty cottage. www.ugg.com/uk/essential-mini-leather-classic-boot/191142965460.html?source=eggl_ppc_Boots+Women+UK%2BENG%2BPLA&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr9zUvpP86wIVE-ntCh16agGDEAQYAiABEgJkM_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I love them and think they are totally worth the price. They do mark easily so would recommend a dark colour.

Yes! I had a pair for years, got rid and replaced with cheap ones. Hated them. I have uggs again now and am so happy! One thing though- size down!

I bought some last year and the fluff/fur on the bit just under my heel started to wear off and they had bald patches in them within about 6 weeks. I took them back and got a refund then went to Tesco and bought a pair for less than a tenner which were not only softer but didn't wear at all. It's a no from me!

My OH loves his Ugg slippers, now on his second pair after 6 years. He's not one for indulging himself a lot, but does insist he can only wear Uggs. So well worth the money for him.

I received some for Christmas last year, I love them. I have a cheap pair of slippers at my mums and now I see the difference
Pure comfort

I love mine.

I have the scuffettes. They are lovely and warm, and the soles are good and robust but if you miss your footing a bit and don't get your foot fully inside, it's akin to standing on an upturned plug Shock

Lexmerrie · 22/09/2020 10:11

I am looking at the Scuffettes in Black as I’m worried the Chestnut colour with White lining may get dirtier easier than say the darker colour Black?

They're lovely. I've tried cheaper brands but often they turn out to be synthetic or much lower quality.

Personally I only wear mine indoors, they were designed as slippers first and they have spongy soles and no foot support, they're not really great outside.

Agree about sizing down! They start tighter and loosen as the sheepskin stretches a bit and the fluffiness packs down.

Worth every penny in my opinion

Parkandride · 22/09/2020 10:21

I love mine! They're black so wearing well, came from an outlet shop so not as £££

NannyR · 22/09/2020 10:23

I had some bought as a gift a few years ago, they were lovely and cosy, but they had leather soles which went very shiny and lethally slippery after a year. So although they had plenty of wear left in them I couldn't wear them safely on tiled/wooden floors.

ChelseaCat · 22/09/2020 10:30

I have the Ansley in chestnut and they are fab, look great even though I’ve had them years.

@SilentBob I was going to say size up!! 😂

PegasusReturns · 22/09/2020 12:42

Love mine - the last pair I bought I actually sized up to keep the fluff at the back of the heel.
