Some figures for thought for working mums....
I hear on today's news that there are proposals to raise the retirment age to 70 . When I started work after after finishing University I expected to have to work for 38 years and retire at 60. Fifteen years later, it seems I should still expect to be working for another 33 years. So at that rate (15 years of working knocking 5 years off the time-to-retirement figure) I'll have to work 3 times as long as I'd originally expected - which means I'll be about 136 when (or if) I finally get to stop working!
