that would really hack me off

I find alot of shops come out with this sort of cr@p. If it's not an extended warrenty for £15 on a £20 toaster, or do you want this 'special' shoe polish for your childs shoes. It's something like if you spend over £50 you get 'this' half price. Does anyone actually say yes to this sort of stuff?

what really annoy me is when you buy a £9.99 top from say Dorothy Perkins and they say "would you like to save 10% on that today" by opening an account card, yes please I would like to save 99p and be saddled with an account card that charges 30% interest.

I know some people would say yes and pay it all off before incurring interest charges but I'm not that organised.

apparently the commission on these insurance/credit cards is very high hence the pressure to sell that instead of the actual goods.

when we bought our house all those years ago we needed cooker, ff, td, wm, extractor etc and we went to an electrical store where the sales woman basically gave us the products (about 40% discount) because we said we'd buy the insurance. Also had them on interest free credit and cancelled the insurance a few days later
