car question - services do you service regularly? Seems a huge expense these days

just wondering if it's just me. Had car serviced, cost a fortune though all in good order, hate to think what it would have cost if it needed anything doing to it! It's not a huge car but was told last service wasn't done, don't know how they can tell thinking of trying elsewhere next time but are they all the same?

We do have our cars serviced regularly but my DH shops around for the cheapest. If they come back and say something is wrong, my DH will pick up car and take it somewhere else for second opinion and quote. He is a bit of a procrastinator (sp?) though! But some places do try and take the p&*s when they see it's a woman on her own, etc..

We have our cars serviced regularly, as and when due. We take them to the dealerships. We have new cars and tend to sell relatively regularly, so good full service book is essential for us.
