Moving to Redcar, Cleveland

May be relocating to Redcar, and no idea of different areas; any to avoid, ? Many thanks.

Avoid Dormanstown and pretty much anywhere close to the sea front/Majuba area, and town centre, and near the train station. I'm not far from Redcar so have been many times throughout my life, but don't know it terribly well, though I do know the places to avoid Closer to Marske is better. Also be aware of the works, chemical plants, etc. You probably don't want to be anywhere near Wilton.

Does it have to be Redcar? Would you be tempted for any of the gorgeous little villages like Staithes or Runswick?

Marske is lovely! Or Saltburn.

Just out of interest, Is it the people, type of housing or other which is the problem in Dormanstown/Majuba area?

I had family living on Coast Road in Redcar and it was lovely,
