My husband and I are thinking about leaving London. We currently live in Richmond and love it but we want more space. Guildford has come up as an option and I was hoping to get some advice. We have two boys (a 2 yr old and a 2 month old) so schools are important as well as it being overall family friendly. I’m also interested to hear if anyone commutes to London via car. My husband works in West Kensington and that would be his preferred mode of transport.
Something else I was wondering about was if people living in Guildford have fun there. It’s hard to define as I don’t feel it has anything to do with size of a town but rather the people in it. We don’t really know anyone with kids and not anyone who lives in Guildford and I would love for us to have a fun social life, has anyone moved there under these circumstances?
Last thing, what neighbourhoods/areas of Guildford are considered the best?
