Ok.. stupidly 3 nights ago I thought it would be a great idea to send an FB messenger message to my ex. He was my first love and we broke up 20 years ago. We’ve never had that conversation to settle things and it’s always troubled me.

So... I sent a message using FB messenger. I spent ages composing it. Then I hit the send button.

After that I don’t know what happened. I cannot find the message in my sent items. I have no idea if he received it. We were friends on FB but I deleted him, before sending the message, as I didn’t think it was healthy. So we weren’t “friends” but it’s not in my sent items?!

Is anyone techie and can explain what might have happened? I’m mortified not knowing whether or not he received my message.

Thank you xx

Did you post it on an iPhone? It’s possible you could have either pressed remove from everyone or remove from you after posting the message

Yes I did it from iPhone. Ooh I didn’t know about this feature. How would I have done that? Is there any way of telling if I removed it from both or just me? So frustrating not knowing if it sent or not... thanks for your help x

So you can send yourself a message to see what I mean but basically if you clicked on the message bubble after it was sent then leaning against the bottom right hand corner of the screen where it says more then it says remove. The default is remove from all. I think to be honest you’ve either done that or accidentally clicked backspace as you’ve went to send. I don’t think he’ll have got it.
