Just wondered really.

I have just rung tax credits who said as long as i didn't earn over 2500 i didn't have to inform them. Obviously though it will be taken in to account when i fill out next years form, so not sure if it is worth it or not really.

Any thoughts ???

I'm thinking about working one day a weekend at a local bookstore but really just to get me out of the house.

snmum · 12/10/2004 11:19

I am working as a croupier

nutcracker · 12/10/2004 11:21

Well i don't really want to do it at all if i'm honest but i am broke and so don't have much choice.

I suppose it woulod do my confidence some good too though.

Will have to go round all the shops tommorow.

I have always wondered about that snmum as it usually pays pretty good doesn't it ???

carla · 12/10/2004 11:26

Whaaaaat? 5k a WEEK?

snmum · 12/10/2004 11:29

I only work intermitently as i get too tired otherwise as the hours are awful

carla · 12/10/2004 11:30

[gobsmacked icon] Really £5,000 a week, SNM?

nutcracker · 12/10/2004 11:32

Well i think i can get about 100 a week before tax if i do evenings in some shops round here. It's not great but it will help me out a great deal and give me some experiance i suppose.

Did you really mean 5k a week snmum ??

fairyfly · 12/10/2004 11:34

Nutcracker, no offence to snmum, but you should stay away from jobs like that, will destroy your self esteem

carla · 12/10/2004 11:36

Dunno FF - I think I'd have plenty of self esteem if I had 5k a week to spend as I wish

nutcracker · 12/10/2004 11:41

Why FF ?????

OP posts:
snmum · 12/10/2004 11:51

because you are expected to do things not written in your contract

nutcracker · 12/10/2004 11:53

Oh like what though ???

OP posts:
carla · 12/10/2004 11:53

So how much could you expect to earn if you stuck to your contract?

snmum · 12/10/2004 11:57

minimum wage

nutcracker i dont think i ought to go into detail about things like that on a parenting board tbh
