When/where does your child get to watch Spiderman?

My 4and half year old ds has just started to mention Spiderman, he has got a spiderman and bike which he had for his birthday 6 months ago which he has barely touched. Anyway his best friend at school is obviously into Spiderman and this is where its coming from which is fine. Hence I thought Id look to see if there was a video we could buy, when I checked I saw that the latest film has a 12 certificate. Do small children watch films in this category? I wondered if Spiderman is on in cartoon form on any other channel and where the little ones at finding out about him. I know Spiderman is everywhere at the moment, but unless they see what he does how can they understand it and get the jist that he is a superhero. All my ds plays with is trains so we would be quite happy for him to take an interest in something else. We dont have cable, etc, only cbeebies.

spiderman is on (cartoon form) some mornings, but not sure when. try ebay for videos.

the cartoon is on fox kids tv channel on cable if you have it. my dd loves the film but only cos of his bright costume. probably not a good influence on her though

there are cartoons on some of the cable channels. DS is 3 and a half and has just started on about Spiderman. Wouldn't let him see the film, but dh did find a U rated cartoon DVD for him, which is fine. I'm a bit happier with Spiderman than with some of the other ones, he doesn't have guns, just web to tie people up!

My dd2 (4) loves spiderman and will sit all day and watch the cartoons if i let her.
She has seen clips of the film but wasn't too sure so she hasn't watched the whole thing.

She was hysterical when faced with the man him self though and uncle spiderman

My brother payed 500 pounds for that costume and now she won't let him anywhere near her when he has it on

He recently went to the pictures to see spiderman 2 dressed in the suit, sat through the whole film in it too

It is really a great suit, handmade but he must be mad to spend that much on it.

as for Spiderman .. DH ordered a crap computer animated version from play.com which keeps DS (3.7) happy enough .. I also don't know how they get into it .. it seems to be de rigeur as soon as they go to pre-school

I know AMFS but apparently this is made from the exact same stuff as in the film and is exactly the same. Don't know how true that is as i haven't seen the film, but the costume is very very good quality, and my brother obviously has more money then sense

i'm wanting to know what your brother actually looks like now. if u ever mention him again i'll just think of spiderman.

Dd1 had that took to try and persuade dd2 to go near him but it didn't work.
He had brought her a spiderman suit of her own but she wouldn't go near him to get it until he had taken it off.

Once she got hers on she wouldn't take it off though mini spiderman and siblings

ds is a real cutie. Can't see dd2 though!
