6 year old dd is swimming with dd2 and dh at the moment. She's had something she's made (a double buggy for her dolls, 2 large supermarket cartons glued together with string either side) for 6 weeks now, but hasn't played with it for the last 2 weeks. Do you think she'd miss it .....??? . Or would it be a ???? Got to do it whilst she's away ....

carla - I'd hide it away and discuss it with her if/when she asks about it. If a few months pass then I'd ask her if she still wanted it before getting rid. Probably not what you want to hear, but I've been told off by my 2 before now for getting rid of things they wanted to keep. I find that it helps if they're preoccupied with new stuff they've had for a birthday/Christmas. Hth.
