dd crying a lot

my 7 year old dd has started crying a lot. She will just burst into tears. sometimes she gives a reason, like I just want to be with you, I love you, spend more time with me ( I spend as much time as I can with her). Sometimes she won't.

It's too early for hormones (isn't it?) I don't know what to do. She is usually a bright happy, laughing child.

I know it's hard for her being the younger sibling of an autstic child but she does get the lions share of attention and affection, because ds doesn't want any affection and lives in his own little world most of the time.

Whats wrong with her?

I think its probably too early for the hormone blight to be causing this. The demands for your attention sound like insecurity - is there a problem at school? A falling out with friends maybe? I'm no expert kittycat, but it may well be totally unrelated to having an autistic brother.
Also, I know some children go through phases of being afraid their parents will die - could it be that?

I've asked her if there is anything bothering her, at home at school etc.. she just tells me no. she just keeps crying, I hold her and tell her I love her and that I'm always there for her, it placates her for a while. It may be insecurity, and even though I'm around all the time I'm busy working. I work from home so maybe its the quality time thing.
