Working tax credits??

Good morning,

Not sure where to put this but Iv woken up this morning to a payment in my bank from working tax credits.

I have never applied for this.

I am currently on maternity leave my earner works 40 hours a week and I have a 2 year old.

Is it a mistake?

If you haven't applied then it must be they dont just pay it out automatically an application needs to have been madr. Dont spend it and call them to ask.

Thankyou. I called them, apprantley it is correct and it's due to my tax code and income changing
