I did a thread a while ago about buying bikes for my dd's.

Someone did me a link to a great site with really good offers and i can't remember which one it was.
I thought i'd added it to my favourites but can't have.

Don't even know what it was called

Anyone know ????

unicorn?

link{http://www.sterlinghouse.co.uk/Default.asp?Action=ViewProduct&ID=8100\very girly}

misdee · 09/10/2004 20:37

very girly

unicorn · 09/10/2004 20:41

misdee.. fantastic a bike after my own heart!!!!!
am looking for one at the moment for dd!!!!
brilliant site, great price too!!

misdee · 09/10/2004 20:43

they are cheaper than the trike i was going to get. but seeing her trying to peddle dd1 bike i thought i'd go for a bike. i paid twice that for dd1 bike, so am gutted in a way. but that was 2years ago.

nutcracker · 09/10/2004 20:48

I like the second one Misdee.

Just ordered Dd1 rock chick

She will probably need stabilsers but i want her to try it without first if she will.

Need to decide which one to get for Dd2 now, she needs a 14inch one.

OP posts:
nutcracker · 09/10/2004 20:54

Well she's a bit of both, like her dolls but wants to live with ozzy osbourne

OP posts:
nutcracker · 09/10/2004 20:55

Thought she might like it cos it's similar to dd1's.

OP posts:
misdee · 09/10/2004 20:55

thats cool as well.

my girls are very girly and love the tassles etc.

nutcracker · 09/10/2004 20:57

Yeah mine would love them too but be a bit to tempted to pull them or cut them off i think.

OP posts:
misdee · 09/10/2004 20:59

they just pop off, if u think they would ruin them lol.

unicorn · 09/10/2004 21:01

Is 12 inch too small a wheel for a 5 yr old do you think?... as I really do like unicorn (!!!) for dd, but just wonder if it is too 'babyish' iyswim.

misdee · 09/10/2004 21:04

can u measure her inside leg?

dd1 had 12" bike at 2.5yrs but was too small for it, dd2 will fit a 12" bike already at just 2.

they are both about 100cm tall.

misdee · 09/10/2004 21:10

unicorn, what about flutterfriends

i think halfords do things like the basket bells etc, quite cheap which u could add onto it maybe.

unicorn · 09/10/2004 21:14

she really wants a dolly basket,
she hasn't ever really had a proper bike, (am also looking for ds who is 2.9) so both will have to have stabilisers, was looking at argos as they seem fairly cheap... but this site is great.

Thanks misdee... any more suggestions? (you should as that company for commission!!!)

zaphod · 09/10/2004 21:29

We were half considering getting bikes for the big kids for Christmas, esp. as ds1's bike was stolen a couple of weeks ago. At the Sterling House prices, they are definitely getting bikes. Even with the cost of shipping to Ireland, it's a bargain. THANKS. (This also gave me an opportunity to tell dh that I'm NOT wasting my time on Mumsnet)

unicorn · 09/10/2004 21:34

zaphod... Exactly .. dh is beginning to see MN in a new light!!!

misdee · 09/10/2004 21:35

it was actually my dad who found out about them. he saw their ad in the back of the sunday papers. so got me, my younger sis and himself a bike. then mieow found them trading on ebay, got one for her dd on their, and now seems we are all looking for bikes on there for xmas/birthdays.

unicorn · 09/10/2004 21:40

misdee, someone should get a bonus from this publicity - tell the mumsnet team.. maybe they could stick it up as an advert, and get something?
Personally, I reckon YOU should tell the company what good work you are doing on their behalf!

They may just throw ANOTHER bike your way!!!
