I have made a decision to end my marriage. My name is not on the motgage and his parents laid down a deposit for us.I dont think I am entitled to anything. How do I leave?I have no where to go or stay?Do I go to the council?
I have just started my nvq2 in childcare as I am a childminder.Would I have to give my job up and my course?

If you are married, you are entitled to quite a lot. Someone more knowledgeable will be along soon I'm sure - but the fact that the mortgage is in his name is not significant, I think. Go see the CAB, or get yourself an appointment with a solicitor.

You might be entitled to a share of the house but if he dont want to sell then he could release some of the capital you can use for another property. You can either go to the council and submit a homeless application, but unless you are fleeing domestic violence you will be seeing as making yourself intentionally homeless so wouldnt be a priority, or you can look to privately rent. You wouldnt have to give your course up, but you wont have a house to be able to childmind in, your best option is to arrange alternative accommodation first before you leave the married home.
