My 7 yr old dd came home today after her first day back at school and announced she wanted to go to Egypt.
I was intrigued and asked whether they had been learning abot the pyramids? She blankly looked back at me and told it was 'cos they speak Latin in Egypt, and that's what she's learning. I gently explained that no-one speaks Latin anymore(even tho she has to study it)but was then informed that they also speak it in Rome whilst they're having baths outside....
just thought I should share that one with you all
