Do You Brush Your Teeth in the Shower?

TheSandman · 17/04/2020 23:49

That's it really. In conversation with my 17 year old DD just now, she mentioned that she brushed her teeth in the shower. (While having a shower obviously, she doesn't get in JUST to brush her teeth.)

I thought it was the oddest thing. I've never heard anyone say they do that before.

Does anyone else brush their teeth in the shower or is she as weird as I think she is?

Every morning! It is efficient! Although I may have to hide this thread when people say me and your DD are disgusting.

mildlymiffed · 17/04/2020 23:57

Me!

Rainb0wDrops · 17/04/2020 23:57

Yes I do this often, it saves time in the morning.

concernedstudent12 · 17/04/2020 23:58

I have to say I started doing this a few months ago!

dementedpixie · 17/04/2020 23:58

Nope, never.

ilikebigbuttsandicannotlie · 17/04/2020 23:58

Yes, I always do. I’d never considered other people didn’t until your post. I’m going to ask dh in the morning Grin

Ireallymustgotobed · 18/04/2020 00:01

I do in the morning, my shower room is cold, I’d rather stand in the hot shower to brush my teeth.

Xmasbaby11 · 18/04/2020 00:03

I used to before I got an electric toothbrush.

dementedpixie · 18/04/2020 00:05

I also have an electric toothbrush and have never considered brushing teeth in the shower

aruba786 · 18/04/2020 00:06

No. . . .never

Teddypops · 18/04/2020 00:07

Yes, every morning!

CaptainCarp · 18/04/2020 00:08

My DP does! On the hand I find it horrendous to brush my teeth with warm water (just a wierd personal thing). Also I don't shower everyday Shock

Immaback · 18/04/2020 00:09

Of course! I can’t see why you wouldn’t !

PepperMooMoo · 18/04/2020 00:10

Yep! Twice a day!

ignores comments where people indicate they don't wash once a day

AndwhenyougetthereFoffsomemore · 18/04/2020 00:11

Wha? I have a battery operated toothbrush which I assume wouldn't enjoy this, but surely the order is:

  1. shower
  2. Dress
  3. breakfast
  4. Teeth

Do you shower-teeth-brushers not eat breakfast?

LittleMissBumFun · 18/04/2020 00:12

No way

ReturnofSaturn · 18/04/2020 00:18

Yes though that was normal!

ReturnofSaturn · 18/04/2020 00:19

Always shower after I've eaten.

Ugzbugz · 18/04/2020 00:26

Repulsive, I also think its grim how say 5 people brush their teeth and spit in the sink and then someone will have a sink wash 🤢🤢🤢🤢 I clean my sink but would never fill it up to say wash my face or anyone elses sink 🤢

Aria2015 · 18/04/2020 00:26

I do, although not every day. I don't know why but I like it! I'm usually quite efficient in the shower, I don't stand under the water and just relax but when I clean my teeth in the shower, I'm forced to stand still under it whilst I brush and I find it relaxing and it somehow feels justified because I'm not just standing there doing nothing, I'm cleaning my teeth lol!

violetbunny · 18/04/2020 00:35

People who do this, how long are you brushing your teeth for? You're supposed to brush for a full 2 minutes.... don't you end up wasting a huge amount of water in that time?

JohnFinlaysNewTeeth · 18/04/2020 00:35

Repulsive? GrinGrin has the lockdown gotten to people that much, Jesus Christ.

Sometimes, if I’ve got a hair mask on and it needs 10/15 mins I’ll brush them in the shower to kill time while I’m waiting.

Yogawoogie · 18/04/2020 01:30

I use an electric toothbrush so no.
I don’t think I would though!

Teddypops · 18/04/2020 14:14

I brush mine at the same time as washing my hair and whilst I rinse it out.
