Spilled oil on carpet

hi all,

I hope you are all keeping safe and well at this time.

Not sure if anyone is able to help with this but I thought I would try my luck. So a few weeks ago some Rose Hip oil was spilled onto the carpet. :( It wasnt seen until the next day so the oil has now dried. I have tried a lot of things like baking soda, fairy dishwashing liquid, warm water and soaking etc and also the following carpet cleaners: Vanish & Stainz r out but to no avail :'( - it is probably too late now as it has tried but i thought for last measure i would message on here to see if by any chance this has happened to someone and were able to get it out. Any help is appreciated :)

Very low warm iron and absorbent tissue to soak up the oil maybe as you would do with candle wax??

Also fairy liquid might help, I helped when my child dropped a pancake on the carpet which was oily.

@Janineb13 Did any of the suggestions help?

@bruisedbride it didnt work :'( i think its been too long and nothing will get it out unfortunately but it was worth a try i guess. Thanks again for the suggestion.
