?? What, you mean 30% of women in couples don't let their partners see them naked? What do they do - sneak off and get changed in the bathroom? Sex with the lights off only? No shared baths? Wow. 30% seems a lot. Or does it just mean 30% are not happy with the way they look?

Yes, and I'm in the age bracket, but I feel certain that I am only happy to let him see the lump that I am now (post baby belly etc) because of all the indignities of pregnancy and birth - ie he and other people have seen me looking so much worse, why ever not now.

I mean, there are bits of my body I wish were a bit different - although as it happens I was much less happy with it when I was younger. But I'm more than happy to allow him to gaze

I'm beyond that age bracket but yes, of course, dh sees me in the altogether, and I see him, as well. Why not?

Years ago a friend called me because she was very upset about her dh. He'd come home the previous night extremely drunk and been sick down himself (sorry, tmi!). Anyway, she'd had to bath/shower him off and that was the very first time she'd seen him naked. The amazing thing was, they had a 6mth old baby!!!!!! I could scarcely contain my incredulity, tbh.

well up to now the mumsnet % is higher! As for me - like suedonim I am passed the age group but I am quite happy to bare all - tbh I think I'm in pretty good nick for my age - I know I've got crappy legs - always have had but dh doesn't seem to care so why should I - and he ain't got the perfect bod either.

Can't imagine not feeling happy with DH seeing me naked. I wander round quite happily in front of children too. Have a friend whose children (11 and 8) have never seen her naked! It's not that I particularly like my body but it's the one I've got....

Im quite wobbley now after having 2 kids and not exercising that much, so i do feel a bit weird sometimes, especially as before we got together he had gone out with much younger girls, oldest aged about 20 (hes younger than me), and then he gets with this pushing 30 year old who had already had a baby, that was nervewracking! But he didnt run out screaming or anything... He walks around naked all the time, and we are quite happy to 'do it' with the lights on!

I'm in that age bracket & have never thought twice about dh seeing me naked.

Nor me - but I do try give a 'hold stomach in' type look when walking past.
