HELP? Has anyone ever had to write a personal reference?

My CM has asked me to write a reference for her college course.

Has anyone had to do this before and what do you write?

I wrote one for my friend who'd been a CM and was going to work in a bank! I think I said she was honest, trustworthy and reliable. Also mentioned how I knew her and for how long. It wasn't very long but she got the job ok

Yes, I have written these before. Don't worry! The college will be interested in getting a general impression of your CM. So, for example, is she reliable and punctual? Does she carry out your instructions yet still use her own initiative when appropriate?
How does she relate to your children? Does she engage them in interesting activities? How are her communication skills ?(does she report back to you effectively about what you children have been up to etc)
