PLEASE - just spoken to my mum and my grandad has only got anything between hours to days to live - I haven't seen him for 2yrs and really want to go - they've said they'll refund whatever it costs me to get there if I can find a way to get down - don't have money for an overnight stay so it'll be there and back in one day.

Thanks

Was going to suggest you drove to Surrey and stay overnight with me, then on to Bristol but the RAC are send you via Brum.

I can't drive - and it's too much to drag the DS's down in the car with DH (although DH did just offer to drive us down). He's in intensive care now and tbh I wouldn't want to take them in when he's so ill anyhow - nor see me upset (as I no doubt will be) - also DS3 isn't a great traveller.

thanks for all your help - I'm just in such a mess about it - try to keep a straight face for the Ds's as I get them to bed - trying (and now having failed) to keep DS3 awake a little longer so that it doesn't stuff his nighttime sleeping up, and trying to sort this out .
