Iron infusion

Hoping someone can help me. I had an iron infusion yesterday at 10am everything went fine for it no issues and by 4 that afternoon the skin on my arm has gone brown. Has anyone had this happen and it just been bruising? I’m really starting to worry it’s iron staining.

I’m in the same situation it appears to be a rare side effect but from my experience it’s NHS neglect and I should have been informed of this side effect, in my instance the cannula wasn’t fitted 100% but still the nurse continued and when she was suspicious it could be leaking she continued advising that the iron could be going into my tissue but it’s fine as it will be absorbed there was no mention of “staining” now I’m left traumatised as the stain is horrendous on my arm I can’t even look at it.. I really want to find out if anyone has had “staining” and how was it treated..does it fade and is it really permanent?
