Trying to make friends

How is it that try to make friends and I cant. As soon as I trust someone I will be let down. So I just keep to myself and spend most of my time with my Dh and his work colleagues. I have tried the Internet but I found that people lie more on there. All I'm after is a person who can be trusted and is genuinely interested in being friends. 😔

The problem with the internet is people can hide behind screens and pretend to be people they are not. Do you have any local groups you could go to maybe coffee mornings? Running groups? Dance classes etc meeting people face to face always goes better than online.

I agree local groups might be better, even a weekly gym class. Internet you just get a lot of people that are not so honest.
