I was making a list of books, films and music that make you feel happy. Anyone got any suggestions? I think anything by Wham (showing my age!) counts, films would have to include Something About Mary (shameful but still funny), books woule be my old Enid Blyton Malory Towers stories!! Would love to hear what other mums recommend.

The film I love is Only You - its really nothing special but is guaranteed to make me happy.

Robbie Williams Rock DJ. Turn the volume up and have a good old sing song in the car. It's fab for that. Also Attomic Kitten whole again as it was no1 when I found out I was pregnant with my 1st.

dd waking me up when her dad puts her on our bed in the morning - she usually has a massive smile on her face and is dancing like mad to the radio...... how can you wake up grumpy

Angeliz · 06/10/2004 22:45

My dd doing mostly anything

My dd beaming when i tell her she's gonna have a sister and she said she can stay in her room and play with her toys.
(I had my scan today and it's a girl much to dd's delight!)

The trees, especially when the weather is wild, i just love trees.
The sea, wild again best.

4 month old DS doing his riverdance routine in our bed each morning - it seems like he is beside himself with glee!

GeorginaA · 06/10/2004 22:51

This is a terrible thing to admit, but if I need cheering up I put 5ive "Invincible" album on at top volume and sing along. It's such a terrible thing to admit to because ds1 will now shout out in a public place "oooo this is 5ive, Mummy, isn't it!" telling the world about his mothers terrible musical taste...

The interactions between ds1 and ds2 are a joy to behold - I never dreamed it would be so beautiful to see two little boys take so much delight in each other's company (and I worried about ds1 hating his little brother before the birth!)

Baby giggles when I blow raspberries on his belly - best sound in the world (the giggles that is ... not the raspberries!)

A good glass of rioja.

Libb ... lol at riverdance routine ... DD does that too ... cracks me up
My DD has just gone all cute and coy ... putting her head to one side and smiling the biggest gummy smile in the world ... makes my heart flip over.
DS telling me that he loves me 'more than there are leaves on all the trees in all the world' ...
My DH ... he makes me happy full stop.

Movies - When Harry Met Sally and Late for Dinner - guaranteed to make me smile.
