Ring stuck on swollen finger. Help!!

So, the long and short of it is that I have a ring stuck on my finger. I’ve followed other methods talked about outline such as the dental floss method but it’s not budging.

The more I’ve tried to get it off, the more swollen it’s become. I’ve woken up this morning and it’s so tight around my finger. I’m worried about circulation.

What should I do? Does anyone know if A&E would be able to remove it? I don’t even care at this point if it’s cut off. I just really need this off my finger.

If you can't remove it with dental floss (maybe try again, putting your hand into a bowl of really cold water for several minutes first to reduce the swelling) then A&E is probably your best option. Or possibly a jewellers, they may be able to remove it.

Bowl of ice water. Leave your hand in for as long as you can. Pour neat washing up liquid all over the ring. And underneath the water try to very gently tease it off, twisting gently.

Horrible feeling. Hope it's off soon.

This happened to my dad years ago, and he went to the fire station and asked them to cut it off, which they did.
