Welcome.
One thing I will say is that this is an anonymous forum, so people are much much blunter (read-ruder) than they would be in real life. There is no 'nicey nicey, beating around the bush' on MN!

Any topics in particular you are interested in?

Hello. Welcome. AIBU can be a bit of a gladiator arena so you need a strong constitution on there sometimes.

Louise0405 · 21/02/2020 14:07

Baby names is always a fun topic, and I like property/DIY to snoop round other peoples houses!

I've found some great people on the exercise topic as that's my hobby.

Please be aware that MN is full of trolls - people who are not what they say, make up stories etc etc

LochJessMonster · 21/02/2020 14:13

Hmm I don't think we are giving a good impression - most of the boards are fine, some funny stories and good advice!

AlCalavicci · 21/02/2020 22:05

Have you had a chance to have a look around the site now?
It took me ages to get to grips with all the abbreviations!
As a PP ( Previous Poster /Post ) this is an anonymous forum so take care not to give away any personal information don't tell people your real name or your DCs ( dear child/ran) DP ( Dear Partners ) and giving a vague idea where you live is ok but don't give them too much information also don't ask for this information

AlCalavicci · 21/02/2020 22:10

I joined MN when my DH ( dear Husband ) died very suddenly, without the kind words snd fantastic advice i recived on here i really would of had a much harder time.

Yes it can be a bit bitchy but it can also be a great source of information, advice and humour.

Have a look in classics too Louise, really funny threads in there.

MN supported me to break up with a bad person, it's had me in stitches and got me through many a boring afternoon in the office. So it's not as bad as you might think from the comments above (although there are some idiots on some of the boards. But then there are idiots everywhere in life).

Welcome!
