Has anyone had this done and noticed an increase in dampness? I was talking to a relative about getting it done and he ranted that the council had done his block of flats and now the one downstairs has got rising damp. We live in a brick built 1930's semi. It's really cold on the end wall side so I'm keen to find out as much as poss.

No dampness but we found that in our house when we had the heating on the place would go so hot you felt like you were going to pass out. It seems to have made our house too hot with heating on and cold when the heating is off.

I'm a bit of an 'put another cardi if it's that cold, then' type of person so, . But until we can afford to upgrade the kruddy antique boiler maybe the CWI is the way to go? Or not?
