Congratulations. Must be a weight off your minds.

misdee · 02/10/2004 16:23

yippee!! tbh i wouldnt work for asda, so he's probably better off at M&S

Earlybird · 02/10/2004 16:23

Yea Yorkiegirl and hubby! Sounds the perfect way to head into the holiday season. The fact that it's temporary with permanent possibility will give dh the opportunity to evaluate them as employers, so he'll know if he's interested in something long term should it be offered. Well done!

pixiefish · 02/10/2004 17:29

congrats mr yorkie

JJ · 02/10/2004 17:33

Read this and was going to post "Congrats Mr Girl" but "Congrats Mr Yorkie" sounds much better. Excellent news, Mr and Mrs!

V happy for you.

Miaou · 02/10/2004 17:48

Congratulations!!! The discount sounds handy too, don't go mad in the food hall (unless it's all Count on Us)!

coppertop · 02/10/2004 18:11

Congratulations to Mr Yorkie. Enjoy that discount.

Branster · 02/10/2004 18:27

and, and, and, he'll get free health check-ups as well!

btw, does he really want to work with the police force? i know he needs to train and needs to pass fitness and health tests etc, but they also offer jobs for civilians if he wants to work in that sort of environment. also he could apply to become a special (this is a voluntary job with training given but in time they might consider him to apply to become a policeman i think). sorry, i haven't followed other threads about this Yorkiegirl so don't now the exact circumstances...
Congratulations to Mr Yorkiegir!!!!!

PS I have a friend who applied to work temporarly with M&S for the christmas season and she was still with them a year later.

anorak · 02/10/2004 18:46

That's great news Christmas taken care of then.

lou33 · 02/10/2004 18:46

Congratulations.

almost40 · 02/10/2004 19:11

Congrats, YG. I think it was you on another thread - have you gotten rid of that woman - I can't remember the thread name.

Yorkie, I hoped this was your thread when I read the title ... fantastic news and well done to your dh!
Does this mean you can postpone going back to work yourself (cos I know you're not terribly keen) ...

Yorkiegirl
if his dream is to be in the police, suggest to him doing this voluntary special constable role, it's only a few hours a week and he can do it whilst his main job is with M&S , then he can decide what he likes etc.
Good luck to him and to you both!

Heathcliffscathy · 02/10/2004 21:42

many congrats...well done mr yorkie!

sis · 03/10/2004 15:39

I've only just seen this - Well done Yorkiehusband! I really pleased for you both after all the trouble at the last job.
