Moving from Manchester to Inverness area??

Hi all,
I have lived in Manchester all my life (37 years). Have friends and family here, but our hearts belong to Scotland. We go to the Highlands every year, mainly near Skye, and would love to eventually move there with our 6 & 2 year olds. I've never been away from my family, my partner has so i am a little more reserved but want it to happen. We think areas around Inverness are probably best, so we can work in the main hospital there. We don't mind living a little out and travelling in but would love a nice rural area with a good community for our children and ourselves to be part of. Thanks :)

We made the exact same move 20 years ago and stayed for 7 years until jobs moved us away. A fantastic experience; a great environment for raising children. We lived in Balloch - great nursery and primary school. Wish we could go back!

@samandcj
Thank you so much for your input. We stopped once at the castle there on the way to Dornie. It is a lovely place :)
