I have just bought a bike !!!

Have not ridden a bike in 16 years but have just bought one from from a friend who is leaving the country. Am very excited !!! Cycled from her flat to our house (all of 150 mtrs!) and managed not to fall off . Kids think its hilarious!!

OOOHHH fantastic! I brought myself one last year and ive only been on it a dozen times since, cant seem to get rid of my two children to go out and about on it and they are too small to come with me

its all of about 300m but they like it

Good for you, hope you enjoy it - I bought one recently with the intention of going out with dh - its a fitness thing - however on our first jaunt it was clear that my wheels weren't turning quite as fast as his (now what does that remind me of - anyway I digress) so now I'm afraid its solo trips till I can emulate Chris Boardman - don't hold your breath

ooh - dh has just told me he's getting me a bike for Christmas. Am v excited although haven't ridden a bike for 10 years. And I grew up in Cambridge where it was almost compulsory to cycle everywhere.
Can't wait - am going to get baby seat on back for dd.
