I never thought I'd actually be starting a Madeleine McCann thread, but hey, here goes....

Madeleine was due to start school today. The school has kept her desk for her, and I presume the place will be swarming with press today.

But what about all the other little kids who are starting school? Won't it spoil their new big adventure. It should be an exciting time for them (and yes, I know it should be an exciting time for Madeleine too) and I think it's going to be very strange and I feel a little bit sad for them.......

the press will be totally out of order if they do turn up at the school.
Like you say, it will ruin the other childrens' first day.

I hope the press dont show up, its nice that the school are keeping a place for her, but even if she is found safe today, there will be a long way to go before she would be ready to start school

i dont see why it has to be common knowlege really.

I agree, there is far too much media coverage of this story, if and when Madeleine is found she will be a celebrity, it will terrify the poor girl, the media need to start toning it down, they are not doing her any favours.
