What would you do?

unicycle, it's quieter and a lot of fun, and you get to meet some really interesting peopole if you unicycle
(or juggle for that matter) but does have the potential for more visits to casualty

TooTicky · 27/08/2007 23:25

I quite like the unicycle idea but dp doesn't. He thinks it will just be left lying in the garden. But she likes cycling...and she likes a challenge...

tricky - it would be a definite no to the drums for me, unless I had a shed at the end of a 200 foot garden and unicycles are unbelievably difficult - how about some circus skills lessons (I have no idea where you get those - I looked into it once but didn;t get anywhere). then if she likes it and gets good you could get her a unicycle. (or is this the wild dreams of a 3 year old to which you weren;t really expecting a serious answer...)

TooTicky · 27/08/2007 23:30

She's going to be 11 and she's v. keen on both ideas. Not sure we'd get circus skills around here as we're a bit rural. Dp used to be a drummer so that's obviously what he'd prefer.

I wonder if she could play the drums whilst riding a unicyle...

they're not as expensive as I thought I'd probably get her one. if we didn't buy them things on the basis that they might get left lying around in the garden we'd never buy them anything. you could promise her some skittles for juggling if she's learnt to ride by christmas...

TooTicky · 28/08/2007 00:00

That's what I think but dp is scathing.

But then, she also wants drums. And pet rats, but dp would never agree to that.
