Is Cheeki Monkeys a MLM thing?

I've just lost my job, and brother posted me a link to an advert for Cheeki Monkeys:

Is it just a scam? I don't want to touch MLM with a bargepole.

First impressions are it's legit.

There are a couple of MLM specific threads I think on money matters. Some experts over there so maybe worth posting over there too.

Says they want £150 from you to sign up what's stopping someone from just booking events in their own area and keeping all the takings why involve this company to take a cut of the profits ? I don't get what their business model is. Yes more 2nd hand sales of this sort are needed but to have what seems like a MLM company sign you up for £150 then take a percentage of any money you make booking your event and organizing it all yourself seems mad
