Hello

Looking for some recommendations for areas, primary and secondary state schools for DD.

Well in Windsor it’s a three tier system, first middle and upper schools not primary and secondary.

Lots of the first schools will be over subscribed so you might have to get what you’re given.

Middle schools - st Edwards (catholic), St. Peter’s (C of E), Dedworth and Trevelyan.

Upper schools- Windsor Boys and Windsor Girls. If you want co-Ed you’ll have to look further afield.

My relative lives in Windsor. Her children went to St Edward’s - they’re not catholic, she had to dig out her CofE baptism certificate (her children aren’t baptised).

Then onto Windsor Boys. She says the boys school is better than the girls school but I don’t know how true that is.

There is a state school in Maidenhead which is linked to Eton (some boarding places some day places) and has a Windsor catchment but I can’t remember the name.

That would be Holyport College.

Ofsted take a different view. WGS is outstanding and TWBS is good.
