I would like to do something really special for dd the weekend before she starts school. Any suggestions?

She is so excited about starting school, has been such a lovely girl lately, Dh and I really want to do something with her that SHE would adore and would make her feel special

Have considered
Centerparcs (she has just learned to swim and would love the water aspect)
Eurodisney (but don't really want to flog all the way there for one night)
Maybe some kind of safari park thing, she adores animals - can anyone recommend one?

Any other suggestions welcomed!

we do go to the theatre and out for meals as a family quite often

doe s she like cooking? you could go on a cooking weekend
you and dh could specialise in winetasting

poor little sod gets dragged round winetastings all the time!

Whipsnade is very good and if you wanted there is a lovely restaurant just down the road - can't remember the name, will look it up (you'd think after living in the area for 23 years i'd remember !)

There is also a very nice Italian a 5 min drive away - Il Millefiori
